"Does it come off easily?" is the main question I get from parents whenever I do a face painting event. I don't blame them! Who wants their kid with a blue face to go to school the next day right? well I have some tips for you to get rid of that stubborn face paint.
If you face painters uses only FDA approved professional face paint, it should be really easy to wash off. A simple baby wipe will do the trick or just soap and water. However, there many different brands of face paint where some colors do stain and they are a little harder to remove. Colors like, reds, blues, teals, purples and magenta tend to be a little trickier but here are some suggestions:
- Use good quality baby wipes or makeup removers (oil-free)
- Use a little baby oil on a cotton ball to remove the paint
- Do not rub the paint in, you can use baby shampoo and lather it over the paint and let it sit for a little before rinsing it with warm water.
- If all of these fails (which is highly unlikely) you can use lotion. Apply it and leave it for at l east 15 minutes and then wash off.
If you do come across a stubborn face paint case, please don't let children go to bed without having properly washed their face because it might not be as easy to wash off from sheets and clothes. Good luck with that one mommies and daddies! as kids will treasure their face paint and will probably never want to take it off ;-)
On my Instagram Q & A highlight you can see a video of me wiping my face paint (which had glitter, glue and gems) with just baby wipes. Definitely check that out by clicking here
See you on my next post!
